Need testers for my Android app “Timestamp Tracker” to meet Google Play Store production requirements
Last updated on 18 Dec. 2025
I am trying to publish my first Android app — a small one — “Timestamp Tracker” on Google Play Console (which I have published as APK on Uptodown store in June 2025).
Google requires 12 testers to opt in to a 'closed test' of the app. As part of the opt-in, testers will need to download the test version of the app from Google Play Store (link will be provided) and keep it on their phone for 14 consecutive days. It seems that Google will drop any tester from the count if they remove the app from their phone before 14 consecutive days have passed.
Are you willing to opt in and install the test app from Google Play? If so, please let me know the Gmail ID you use on your Android phone - you can privately mail me on riyer02@gmail.com . I will add it to the testers list on Google Play Console and then send you the opt-in link to install the app from Google Play Store.
Thanks.

I put up a more informal version of this post on LinkedIn and Facebook. I wanted to record the contents of that and so have given it below.
Exploring possibility of publishing my small utility Android app “Timestamp Tracker” on Google Play; Needs 12 testers!
I recently got a developer account on Google Play Console. In June, I had shared my small utility Android app “Timestamp Tracker” on Uptodown store, https://timestamp-tracker.en.uptodown.com/android. One major downside of that is the need to side-load the APK on Android device which results in scary warnings put up by Android about installation of the app being risky.
So I thought I should see if I could share that app on Google Play Store which needs a Google Play Console (developer) account. It is a tiny app, but something that I developed as I had a need for a quick and easy (one-tap) timestamp recorder and could not find a suitable free app on Google Play. I have been using this tiny app for some months now and it is serving my needs quite well.
Perhaps others may find it useful (free app) and so why not put it up on Google Play - that was my thinking.
But for a new individual/personal developer, publishing an app on Google Play has quite a few hassles, or shall I say, obstacles.
I am now stuck at the following obstacle:
Google requires 12 testers to opt in to a 'closed test' of the app. As part of the opt-in, testers will need to download the test version of the app from Google Play Store (link will be provided) and keep it on their phone for 14 consecutive days. So I thought of putting up this post. If you, dear reader, happen to be interested, have an Android phone and can spare the time to "opt in" and install the test app from Google Play, please let me know the Gmail ID you use on your Android phone by private direct message via Facebook messenger or privately mail me at riyer02@gmail.com . I will then add your name to the testers list on Google Play Console and send you the opt-in link to install the app from Google Play Store. The next steps are provided in my post: Procedure to opt-in and install my "Timestamp Tracker" 'closed test' app, https://raviswdev.blogspot.com/2025/12/procedure-to-opt-in-and-install-my.html
Thanks.
